Cortina smashing stereotypes in new TV ad

Hitting TV screens across Australia now is the new commercial from Gearwrench tools, which pits the electric Cortina against a rumbling V8 Camaro in a traditional dragstrip duel. True to the campaign’s slogan of “powering the do’ers“, Gearwrench wanted not just an electrified classic car, but also myself as the owner to drive it down the strip alongside Emily Duggan (former V8 racecar driver) in a beautiful ’69 Chevy Camaro. Who wins? Who knows? Have a look!

Look out for it on TV and let me know where you saw it! I suspect it will be more focussed on the footy, fishing, and car-friendly channels and shows, and online too I’m sure. 

The funny side of the night was that the Cortina had to be towed home on a flatbed after experiencing a few software glitches when filming was done, so I didn’t even get to give it a full thrashing down the empty strip! Even so, it was a great experience and I look forward to the feedback on the ad!!
